As a Mom I don’t often have time to pamper myself but there are small things that I try find time to do for myself at home to spoil myself. One of these things is keeping a jar of homemade body scrub in my bathroom. Once or twice a week I spoil myself and use my body scrub and oh boy it makes me feel fantastic! This scrub makes my skin feel so soft and the gorgeous smell awakens my senses.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet almond oil
  • 5 drops grapefruit oil

Instructions:

Pour your salt into a mixing bowl. Next add the sweet almond oil and mix in with the salt.

Melt the coconut oil, either in a bowl of warm water or in the microwave, and add it to the salt mixture. Mix the coconut oil with the salt mixture until it forms a thick paste.

Then add the grapefruit oil to the mixture and stir in.

Lastly, place the scrub in an air tight glass jar until you are ready to use it.

How to use the scrub:

Scoop out a little bit of the scrub and lightly rub it on your skin. The salt gently exfoliates, while the coconut oil moisturizes your skin. This, along with the grapefruit oil, leaves your skin feeling fabulously fresh and the smell of coconut and grapefruit is just to die for!

This scrumptious scrub can be used in the shower or in the bath and is just a little something to spoil yourself with during the week.
